Eating Rules

Summer is a time when we all want to be bikini ready, all the time. On top of exercising, you have to really watch your food intake and eat as healthily and clean as possible. Here are some easy rules to follow this summer to be sure to maintain your weight (compliment of Jillian Michael's book "Making The Cut"):
1)If it's a non food, don't eat it.
2)The longer it lasts on the shelf, the worse it is for you.
3)Never eat anything with the words hydrogenated or partially hydrogenated oils/fats in the list of ingredients.
4)Avoid refined sugars and high-fructose corn syrup(HFCS) at all costs.
5)Never eat any food product that has been "enriched"

Jillian also recommends eating 4 times a day (3 meals and one snack) every 4 hours. And also make sure you get the right mix of protein, fat, and carbs in each meal.

Her book "Making the Cut" is diet and exercise program that is 30 days to your best body ever (running in a bikini good). It is for those who are already in good shape and need to drop only 10 to 20 pounds. Yesterday was day 1 for me, I will let you know how it pans out.

Cheap and Easy At Home Tricks

Here is a really cheap and easy way to get a better
complexion. Add a tablespoon of baking soda to a creamy
face wash a few times a week. Baking soda is a natural
and gentle exfoliant that removes oil from your pores.

Summer can be hard on your. Use this recipe to restore your locks back to their luscious state. Mix a half of a cup of coconut oil and a half of a cup of olive oil into a spray bottle. Squirt onto wet locks, and put hair in bun (just pile on your head). Rinse after 30 minutes. This will
moisturize your hair and add lots of shine!

Summer Vacation Must Haves

Summer is a perfect time to get away, even if it's just a long weekend in the Caribbean. It's a great way to relax, recharge, and have some fun. However there are a few things that are must haves for your summer vacation.
1) A large tote. Not only is this your day bag for the beach and pool it is also a carry on for the plane. That way when night time hits all you need is a cute clutch. 4)A fab beach body. Everyone wants to look their best when baring all on the beach. Start a vigorous exercise routine one to two months before going away. You should be working out often anway but make sure you add something more to burn some extra calories like circuit training or extra cardio. Also eat a diet high in protein and low is carbs this way you are lean instead of bloated.
5)Comfortable shoes. There is nothing like sore feet and blisters to ruin a trip. Of course you want to look good but comfort is more of a necessity when going away. You are going to be doing a lot of walking so make sure you bring shoes that you know are comfortable.

How To Dye Your Hair At Home

Dying your hair at home can save you time and alot of money. However there are a few things you should know first to avoid a hair tragedy.
1) Know your hue. Don't stray more then one level above or below your natural hair color category. Hair color category meaning light brown, dark blonde, red, etc.
2) Match the color swatch to your roots NOT your ends. The hair on the ends is much older and changes (i.e. lighter from the sun).
3)Don't use the whole box if you don't have to. Most likely you will the first time, but touch ups require much less.
4) Apply color to your roots first. Once 3/4 of the time is up put the remainder on the rest of your hair. This way your roots are tinted and your ends are shiny and rich.

Everyone wants to have long, lush eyelashes. And lets face it falsies are such a pain to apply. All my life people have asked me if my eyelashes are real and yes they are, I never wear fake eyelashes because I could never put them on properly. They key is to take your time when applying mascara making sure you get every lash. You also want to apply a lot of coats, reapplying before the last coat dries. The one thing that I do, even though I know every beauty professional is against it, is that I always finish with curling my eyelashes. And yes I mean the final step after I apply my mascara. Goodbye Cellulite

That time of the year has come, warm weather means showing more skin and for a lot of us this means trying to hide our cellulite. Most women have it and think there is nothing they can do about it, WRONG. I don't believe in all of those over the counter treatments or in the expense in-office ones either. I am going to show you how to rid your backside of cellulite the good old fashioned way just in time for the summer months.
The first thing you want to do is exercise. You want to do moves that target your butt and thighs. I recommend doing 40 minutes of cardio 3 days a week. You should make sure that you are always on an incline. So you can do the elliptical or the treadmill on an incline. Always vary your speed and amount of incline to assure the most in calorie burning. Then 2 days a week you should do about 45 minutes in strength training. Aside from your normal routine you should do exercises to target the areas that have cellulite. Try squats, lounges, leg raises with weights, etc. There is a lot of information online so do your research to find the moves that work for you and save that personal trainer money for a nice shopping trip.
The other thing you want to do is camouflage your cellulite with self tanner. This is the best tip to hide your cellulite because cellulite is less noticeable with a tan. How To Properly Curl Your Eyelashes

Lots of ladies are afraid to curl their eyelashes, and even though it feels odd to do it certainly does not hurt at all. You can achieve long, curly eyelashes with just an eyelash curler and some mascara. Following these few simple steps and you will be on your way to having lush lashes.

1) Start with clean, dry lashes. Open the eyelash curler and while keeping your eye open slide your lashes between the two sides.

2) Starting at the inner corner of your eye, position the curler as close as possible to your eyelid without pinching your skin. When your lashes are tucked inside, gently clamp the curler together.

3) Hold for a few seconds, and repeat steps 1-3 on the other eye. Finish off with a few coats of mascara and you will be glam all day long!

Eye Brow How To

Everyone wants perfect eyebrow's but we all know it is easier said then done. No matter if you are guilty of over plucking or just have no idea how to properly shape those brows, follow these three easy steps to get the perfect eye brows for your face!

1) Use a white eye pencil to outline your ideal brow shape.

2) Then pluck only the hairs that fall outside the white line. (Some says to tweeze only beneath and between brows while others say don't touch anything above, use your own judgement.)

3) Use a pencil that matches the shade of your brows to fill in any gaps. You can also finish with blending brow powder two shades lighter then set with a gel.
